Dedon

When Dedon learned that the Apple Store was going to temporarily be next door to their address in Soho, they wanted to come up with a way to lure the extra foot traffic into their store. We proposed a window installation of interactive seagrass, that sways and blows each time a person walks by. Aesthetically, this fit for Dedon, being that they sell upscale beachy outdoor furniture. The build used a hidden Kinect to detect motion, and arduino motors connected to the blades, weighted at the bottom to sway and move according to the motions picked up by the camera.
